How To Maximize The Back Of Business Cards

There are a lot of different things you can do with business cards. However, one of the most creative ways to maximize your back is to make it into something that someone can take away from you, where your idea is imprinted on the card for them.

This takes some finesse and thoughtfulness, so we’ll put together some ideas for what might happen if you use this tactic.

1. Showcase a customer testimonial

You could go all out and use a panel of actual customers you’ve worked with – maybe people who have used the product, people who have called in or emailed you asking questions, or customers who have written reviews on your website.

It’s a little gaudy and tacky, but it would look great on a business card. And it has the potential to be one of your best marketing tools.

2. Add A QR code

QR codes have a variety of uses, the most common being to link you to a website. Adding one to the back of your card can be a nice way to further your business message. If you have an interactive brochure or presentation, you could link it directly from the back of your card.

3. Put some practical information

If your business card is a mini brochure or direct mail piece, you can also include some interesting facts or useful information. This may not be so useful at networking events, but it can work well with customers who have been in touch with you to ask questions.

4. Don’t forget to put your socials

After all, you can include your Twitter handle, Facebook page URL, Instagram, etc., on the back of your card.

5. Make it a tear-off pad

You could make a business card where the back is part of another piece of paper that is attached to your standard-sized business card. This is a really clever idea for people who do things like real estate or insurance and have lots of local listings!

6. Slogans are your business

If you have a slogan or an idea for your business that you want to let everyone know about, consider making a regular business card with a blank back. Then write the slogan on the front and put it on the back. Finally, you can actually print it out with your logo or company name and copy it on the card.

7. Show your appreciation

If you want to make someone feel special, consider making a business card with standard information on the front and back of an actual business card. Then add something else: a coupon for a free product or service or a map to your location.=

8. Just go nuts

The possibilities are pretty much endless. You could have it fit on the back along with your social media or have it come off to hand out as a separate brochure with lots of neat information about your company and what you do.

While putting your web address on the back of your business cards may be tempting, you can do a lot more with them. The whole point of a business card is to stand out and get someone thinking about you. You can do that by being different and unique.
