The 5 Things Every (Great) Graphic Artists Need

Disclaimer: This article may contain some mild humor.

A creative agency without a goody artist is like a car without a driver. They are the guardian of all things related to visual design (including how things look, feel and interact), which means that a creative agency or business will have to hire them if they are earnest about achieving a brand-new level of awesomeness.

But the question is: How can you keep them going? That one-million-dollar question.

So, let’s straighten things out. Keep these things in mind to keep your graphic artist happy and content.

1. Undying Coffee

If you ask a creative person to tell you what they need to do to be able to do their day-to-day work, they’ll always tell you one word—COFFEE.

After rendering an artwork? COFFEE.

Before meeting that ‘mad’ client? COFFEE.

Running out of inspiration? COFFEE

In simpler terms, COFFEE + COFFEE = An absolute delight.

2. Adobe Photoshop/Premier

Who doesn’t like to play around with the lasso tool and the warp function? Experienced graphic artists know that Photoshop has this innate ability to make something beautiful out of a blank canvas.

But you have to agree that Adobe software is really expensive: The standard package costs around $100 (Indesign, Photoshop, etc)! But it’s definitely worth it!

3. JBL Earbuds

Now, you need something to drown out the noise and jingle of burgers being served as you finish designing that one-of-a-kind logo or brochure. JBL Earbuds are a perfect choice. Trust us, they won’t hurt your ears after 5 hours of usage.

P.S: We are not affiliated with JBL – we just love the brand. And we’re giving your boss an idea of what to provide you with as a Christmas bonus.

4. Fast Internet Connection

Having a slow internet connection might be the perfect way to drive you mad. But if you’re lucky enough to have a fast connection without a glitch, you’re more than lucky.

Pro Tip: Don’t dare to download anything whenever your artists are working on something!

5. An Inspiring Work Space

Nothing is more important than to have an inspiring workspace, especially if you are a designer. You need to work in an inspirational space that is not surprising but still mind-blowing.

To keep your creative brain safe, you’d better leave the desk and go to the couch or a chair in the living room. Bean bags, white walls, colorful lamps – all of this will keep your spirits high!!

Wrapping Up

And there you have it. The five things every graphic artist needs. Don’t forget that these are all suggestions and nobody has to follow them, but if you are an artist and want to improve your life, these tips might be helpful for you.
